Sindicato dos Magistrados do Ministério Público (national association of portuguese public prossecutors) expresses it’s solidarity to the Italian Judge Mr Raimondo Mesiano.
Mr. Mesiano has been victim of an illegal intrusion in his private life and of intimidating attacks by the media. All that, only because he had carried out his institutional duties.
The Italian Judges have protested because of such so grave interferences on a judicial case that is still pending and will be submitted to the competent Courts. The attacks against Mr. Mesiano objectively represent a clear message aimed to these appeal judges.
We want to express our support to the Associazione Nazionale Magistrati and it’s initiatives for the defence of the independency of the Judiciary.
